lgbt culture is not trusting the streets when you’re walking home at night. lgbt culture is losing your livelihood because someone found out you were lesbian/gay/bisexual/trans. lgbt culture is carrying pepper spray with you everywhere because you just never know. lgbt culture is being forced to accept the cishets that invade your community because you don’t want other cishets turning on you and giving you even less access to already very limited resources. lgbt culture is having to see stupid shit like this online and standing up for yourself as well as your community but still having stupid cishets trying to tell you that you don’t know shit about your own community’s history. lgbt culture is being fetishised. lgbt culture is internalized homophobia and transphobia that keep you from being happy with yourself. lgbt culture is STILL having to hear dumb ass people complain about how shitty it is that they’re not considered lgbt because OBVIOUSLY it’s just so fucking fun being lgbt, right?
