People who condemn fandom racism, homophobia, transphobia, etc. and talk about how we need more and better representation of minorities in media but then turn around and say that fandom incest, pedophilia, and abuse are ok because “they’re just ships” and “fiction doesn’t affect reality” will never cease to boggle my mind. Like the amount of congnitive dissonance is utterly astounding and I can’t imagine being that stupid or willfully ignorant
