Anytime I see that Twilight post with the caption “How can anyone hate this series?” I am forced to remember the interview the female director of the series did about how she tried to convince Meyer to make some of the Cullens POC and Meyer refused because she “couldn’t see it” but was all for making one of the villain vampires black. Like I think that’s why people hate this series. As kids we just didn’t like it for dumb reasons, now we’re adults and fully realize the series is bad not because “gross romance”. But “gross racism”.
